Maya Sanchez is a Bellevue-based therapist, clinical director, and supervisor with deep roots in the greater Seattle mental health community. She specializes in working with neurodivergent adults and couples, with a particular focus on serving the LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and ASD communities.
Maya brings an unusually broad range of clinical and organizational experience to her role at Rainier Mental Health. Prior to joining the practice, she served as a clinical supervisor and therapist at LifeStance Health, working across their Renton and Kirkland locations. She also held a dual role as clinical director and therapist at a Redmond-based group practice, where she provided case consultation for interns, associates, and peer clinicians.
Her corporate experience includes several years at Boeing, where she worked as an employee assistance counselor, became an international trainer on mental health topics, and developed mindfulness programming for sites across the country. Before Boeing, Maya owned and operated a private practice in Kirkland serving children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
Maya has also contributed meaningfully to public safety — developing curriculum and delivering trainings for the Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC) and the King County Sheriff's Department on critical incident response, autism awareness, and active listening techniques.
She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from City University of Seattle.
