Symone Cope

Specialties: LGBTQ+ & Gender Identity · Neurodivergence · Complex Trauma · Suicidal Ideation · Grief & Suicide Loss

When meeting with Symone, clients are welcomed into a warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where they can feel understood, respected, and free to be themselves. She works with adolescents and adults navigating identity exploration, relationships, family changes, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and loss.

Symone has a particular interest in supporting LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse individuals, neurodivergent clients—including those diagnosed later in life—and people experiencing complex trauma, thoughts of suicide, or the impact of suicide loss.

Symone recognizes that each person’s experiences are shaped by their relationships, communities, culture, and the systems around them. Rather than fitting clients into a predetermined path, she works alongside them and honors each client as the expert in their own life.

Her approach is humanistic and trauma-informed. Symone draws from a range of therapeutic approaches while bringing curiosity and compassion to her work. She helps clients explore their experiences at a pace that feels comfortable and find an approach that aligns with their strengths, values, and goals.

Symone holds a master’s degree in social work from Seattle University, as well as a BSc (Hon) in natural resource management from the University of Western Australia.
